how do you guys deal with oil changes........

I was just refering to flipx about carrying it in their truck, alot of people dont like to lug around a heave som***** floor jack, but the aluminum would be nice. If you just work on your car once in a while one of those cheap walmart jack/jack stands kits is ok, all the jack does is put the car on the stands. I would never get under a car with just a jack. All that is holding the car up from squishing you is a 10 cent seal.
i agree. i will also never get under anything being held up by only a jack. has to have a jackstand or a brick/block under it before i mess with anything.

wwwaaayyyy to much work to do by yourself...i have to take the sub out, unbolt the amp, take out my seats....
ah, i understand what you mean. I got plenty of help for my stuff, as much as my dad hates me having loud music stuff, he still helps me when im stumped lol.

i guess im lucky my truck is up high enough even for my fat *** to fit under.... only time I had to lift something was when I was replacing my clutch, took it to a rich buddy's hydraulic lift and it was smooth sailing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and stuff like that, like i need to get my tires rotated right now, but i dont have the tools to do it, so i have to take it somewhere...
there is no way i can hide my box if someone is in my truck, and im just worried about someone getting my address and stealing my stuff. so what do yall do about stuff like that?
everything mentioned in this thread is cheaper than having your system stolen if you're that paranoid. including the bricks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I get the dealership to change my oil 22 bucks and only charge me 6 dollars labor, ill gladly pay somebody 6 bucks every 3 months to do it for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you're also paying 22 for supplies...

maybe i missed it, but why can't you do it yourself? it only takes like 10 minutes and costs half as much as taking it in.
since you live in a northern state i think you might realize why roughly 7 months out of the year its easier to take your car in and have it done....especially if you dont have a garage. i dont wanna lay in the snow, when its 12 degrees, salt and ice caked in your car......ill pay the 20 bucks to have it done thank you.....

I just change my own oil, don't like letting the jiffy-lube guys screw with my ride. as for rotation a lot of times the place that mounted them will rotate them for free.

bulk oil ftl

It costs me more to do it myself, but I enjoy doing periodic maintence on my truck so it doesn't bother me.
