how do you guys deal with oil changes........

1) Raise car, remove tire2) Put donut/spare where tire was

3) Lower car, move jack, raise another side of the car

4) Remove that tire, replace with other tire

5) Repeat until all tires have been changed

6) Put donut back

jesus christ this thread turned to shit.

all i was looking for is what you do when you have to take your vehicle in, like giving fake addresses and phone numbers, stuff like that.

Did your car come with blocks/jackstands?
If so, its probably hot and you traded Sam The Dope Dealer smack for it.
People drive around without jackstands?

I won't leave the house without a floor jack, jack stands, a mechanic's tool set, and my electrical box.

Yes, but not in a scenario where the only things included were a crescent wrench and a jack.
There is a brick on the side of the road.

I can't ever imagine myself in a situation where I couldn't find a brick, log, something....but then again, I am thinking if I was on the side of the road.

Since I am at home, I would simply use jackstands.

i have all of this in my trunk including my stereo equipment. and for the record you may want to look into learning how to work on your car, it will save you A LOT of money
