How do make "Ghost" images in paint?

You can do it in photoshop by putting the box as the first layer, copy the truck and paste it on top of the box in a new layer, and you can play around with the transparency to get the effect you want.

Unless you're talking about physically painting, in which case I have no idea.

First you would paint your base color. Then tape off the area where you want the ghost effect at. Mix some pearl in some clear coat and spray over the area you want to have the ghost effect. Next, clean your gun and unmask the whole box and spray a couple layers of clear over everything.

Ps. it doesn't take a lot of pearl. It's going to be in powder form and can be bought at any paint supply.

Great! Thanks for the info.

I want to Ghost a Dodge Ram or something into a box I'm building for a buddy of mine: **LINK** and I have no idea of how to do that.
Any hints, pointers and tips are welcome.

Thanks,

If you go to a place that stocks all the HOK or House of Kolor stuff, they have a Color wheel, that you scroll one side around till you find your base color, the it will show you what Kandies or Perls will give a ghosted look if you lay on a thin layer....

Its not as easy as you might think, unless you've played around with it a bit...

I watched the the guy do the Ghost Flames on my Blazer... Pretty cool stuff..
