turn your head unit up to 75% of its volume with the bass boost off "if you have one like, the loud button" slowly turn your amps gain up intill you sub's start to distort at that point turn the gain down a little.

how do you know when your hu is 75% up?

just 75% of the max volume, like if it went up to 100 set it at 75, the higher the volume is at the more likely the sound out put is clipped "distorted.”

Smart thing you ask before you go playin with the gain. Just heard of someone blow the **** out of a 10 inch L7 cause he wanted to se how loud it would go by turnin it all the way up.

Alright heres what to do........Turn youre head unit up to the volume to where you listen to it normally at. Then, turn your gain up til they distort but not real fast....then when you hear distortion, back it down til it stops.
