how do I wire a sub to get a 2ohm load?

To get a 2ohm load on a 4ohm DVC sub with a mono-block amp (has two outputs), do I wire the positive and negative of one output on the amp to the negative and pos. of one voice coil, then wire the remaining neg/pos output on the amp to the remaining neg/pos of the voice coil? (Also, just to make sure, a two-ohm load will be best, right?)

simplified- run a jumper on the sub positive to positive, then negitive to negitive.- hopefully you have more than 1 prong on your speaker leads- then hook up the positive off the amp to one of the positives on the speaker,,then do the same with the negitive ........tadaaaaahhh!!! on most amps they will produce more power at 2 ohms yes.......

The two outputs are actually the same output wired paralell inside the amp. It's just there for your convenience in case you ever decide to run multiple subs and have 2, or 4, or more connections to make to the amp.
