how do i hook up amps to HU?

here's the deal...i looked at the back of my HU today...it has:

- 2 front preouts(red and white)

- 2 rear preouts (red and white)

- 2 bus audio in (i have NO idea what that is...)

i bought dual amp kit, and i already ran the 2 sets of RCA's down the passenger side of the car. (2 sets of red and white per rca cable)

*note* i have not connected anything...just ran it.

i have a cheap 2ch. amp i'd like to hook up until i get my 4 channel (in 2 weeks or so)

but im also worried about where i plug in the rca's for the sub amp (when i get it) can i plug them into "audio bus in"?? anyways...im sure i don't make any sense, but ask me some questions about it, and i'll try to clariy the problem...don't really know what im doing.

well, hmmm. the HU is a SONY. came with the car, so i don't have any paperwork on it at all. My prob is i want to hook up a 2 channel amp now (cause a friend gave it to me) but i want to hook up a 4 channel amp in like 2-3 weeks.

basically all i know is that the HU has the red and white terminals for front and the red and white terminals for the rear. As well as the red and white terminals for the bus in audio. I hope some of you guys can help me out because i want to get this hooked up as soon as possible.

Yes Jmac, you did try to answer this before, but i didn't get another response. I still don't understand. And since its been so long, i will go ahead and hook it up to my Hifonics zx6400 4 channel amp, instead of the 2 channel amp. I will also be hooking up the BX1500D when it comes in.

the 6400 looks like it has 2sets of RCA's in and one set of RCA's out.

so does it go (from the HU...Y-splitter in to the front and rear red and white inputs--RCA's run to the SPEAKER amp--Another set of RCA's going from the RCA output on the speaker amp to the RCA input on the SUB amp-- and that's it??

once again, sorry for the double thread , i know noobies like myself can get annoying, but i just want to get my system hooked up and playing.. if you know of a good website that gives a good diagram for my question feel free to post it.

Take the front 2 outputs (red/white) from your HU plug them into the front input on the amp.

Take the rear 2 outputs (red/white) from your HU plug them into the rear input on the amp.

Once you get your sub amp you will either need a Y splitter to split the rear channel from 2 to 4. Or if possible with your 4 channel amp use the Line Out to go to your sub amp.
