Coils were okay huh? Says something about their quality control no doubt. Not bad for 70 bucks a piece!

Still looking at that HCCA Orion 3k that did so good on the dyno testing vs all those others on on Big D's channel. IIRC it is around 600 or so for it on Amazon. This one below but as we all know dyno testing isn't the end all be all but it at 14.1 volts 4800 watts is perfect for what I am looking for.

Ruthless 1500x4 came in today.

Wanting to upgrade headunit as well. Still shopping but the Sony XAV-AX5500 is looking pretty good for the price. 5 volt outputs. Dual USB. No active crossovers though. I would LIKE wireless apple carplay but don't really want it enough to spend $800 for a headunit.

Two SSA Zcons ordered. Probably be a while before I get them. In the meantime I can figure out if I'm going to wall it or stay no wall. Would be nice to have the battery and amps in the very back and still have more room but giving up being able to look behind me and having terrible side mirrors are a big con. I also ordered D2 ohm if you get what I'm putting down....

I have Android, grabbed an AAWireless and it's been flawless. AAWireless has more intuitive options. But there should be something out there for iPhones.

Ruthless 1500x4 came in today

I keep returning to ogle this unheard of amp. Tiffany RCAs, big power inputs, clean short finned heatsink. Are you going to use this much power on Pro Audio speakers, or are you going to double up on everything? Seeing that you got those 18" ZCons, it makes sense to upgrade the front stage now.
Did you tire of the 4 Diamond Audio 12s, or is it because according to the math, you will gain ~50 sq. in. of cone area?

Nope not upgrading front stage. Just wanted the matching Ruthless amp. I can give the mids a bit more power though as they are rated 200 rms each.

I'm actually losing cone area going from SIX 12s to two 18s. But gaining power handling and motor force. Still very happy with the 6 12s just want to do something new this year. I was considering 6 NVX VCW v3 12s.

6 12s? That is alot of bass. I had to re-read the thread to see what front stage was keeping up with six 12s. Nice. Who needs hearing when you're old and bent like a question mark? You'll just get nagged at anyways.

Got off early and decided to finally put the 250x4 in. I'm too tired to clean it up. That will be another day.


Need to invest in a good 6 way fuse D block and ground D block.

Been having a problem with the new 4 channel. Keeps cutting out at high volume but only with bass playing. I was thinking it was a vibration issue but couldn't really figure it out. On my way home from work today I found the issue. When looking at my ISDT lithium cell monitor and not my slower Stinger volt meter I'm getting quick spikes over 16 volts and the amp protects at 16 volts. Every time I saw 16.01+ it cut out. Guess I'll pull a diode out of my alt harness.


Gain all the way down on the tweeters and up a cunt hair on the mids and they scream.

So I found my voltage issue. I lost a bit when adjusting amp gains and I found it when I pulled my lithium bank today. It was in the bank touching the balancer and first cell negative. Causing weird voltage spikes and dips.

Well.... Since the Zcons were so far out I upgraded to Evils. Hopefully these Evils won't take too long to get.

Now I need 40ah more of Yinlongs and another Ruthless 4500.
