Home theater setup ?'s

My brother wants to get a little stereo for his room and asked me to find out what are some good setups he can use for about 200$. It doesn't have to be anything special just something that will make him happy he dropped 2 bills on it.

Any ideas?

I was thinking a reciever and then buying speakers seperatly.

Hmm, maybe just a little cheap 2 channel receiver and a cheap 4-5 speaker setup? I'd check out http://www.bestbuy.com

getting components for 200 is going to be rough. a nice compact bookshelf stereo like somebody pointed to above might be your best bet. they can sound nice in a small room.

there are a ton of speakers to choose from, but the reciever is a pretty nice price.
