Don't know if anyone has an interest or not but I've been thinking about selling my high end 2 channel tube amp.
Before I am asked, I have done 2 transactions here (buying) so I don't have much feedback from this site. I do have 100% feedback on
Ebay and Audiogon under the same username as I use here.
Anyway, the amp is a 2 channel BAT VK-60 (Balanced Audio Technology) in great condition with only 1 minor scratch on the far R/H side of the faceplate.
The amp works perfectly and has no issues other than the one scratch.
I Sharpied the scratch and it is barely noticeable so I never changed the faceplate, but if it bothers you, a new faceplate can be purchased from BAT for $150.
I used this amp only for music and it was never driven hard.
I have another amp for the HT setup and this one just sees very little use since I seldom have time to listen to music at home.
It seems like I don't use it enough to justify having this kind of money tied up in it.
Specs on the amp are 60wpc and it has balanced inputs.
If I sell this, the Nordost Blue Heavens balanced I/C's will be included.
You can also get balanced to rca adapters from BAT if you don't have balanced outputs on your preamp/processor.
The I/C's alone ran $300+ and I paid close to $2K used for the amp.
I have the double shipping boxes and packing materials.
This is an amp only and does nothing without a preamp of some sort.
I would prefer to find a Central Texas buyer if possible since this monster weighs close to 100lbs but will ship if you want to pay for shipping and insurance.
