2 questions about Rockford Fosgate amps and HiFonics amps.
1. About 6 years ago I purchased 2 HiFonics amps. I only bought them because they were affordable. I had problems with both of them and was not happy with their overall performance so I returned them. Recently I have seen more HiFonics amps for sale and they are twice the price of what I payed for them. Did HiFonics significantly improve their line of amps to the point that they're worth investing in?
2. Why is it that some Rockford amps have the standard gain knobs on the side of their amps, and some have a hole with an ever so difficult to adjust knob inside the hole? I have a punch 400.4 and a punch 360.2. The 400.4 came with the standard gain knob, and the 360.2 did not. Is there any logic for this? Thanks to all who can help explain this.
