are these fairly good amps? i mean, the wattage seems good, what makes them "less good" than the Memphis 16-st3004 and Memphis 16-MC3004 amps?

I know some amps, the ratings they say are "max" watts, as opposed to RMS... so it the hifonics 6400, for example, says 175W per channel, is that max watts?

Overall, are they good, reliable, powerful amps?

I just recently got a Zeus ZX7500 and that thing is a real beast. It seems to put out its rated power if not more. The only downside is that it draws a crapload of current.

if that light's a problem, pull the cover plate off - you may be able to just unplug it. I have a US acoustics with a light in the plexi panel that can be unplugged and put back together in about 5 minutes.

i owned the zx6400 and it was probably the best amp i've ever owned. im considering buying one now and replacing my autotek amps. I powered a 12" HC, components, and 6x9's with that thing and it never harmed the thing. Buy it!
