Hi-Point .45 ACP pistol

You got an ar also crx? If so which do you like better, the AKs or ARs?

I find myself more fond to the AR's. Maybe just cause it's stuck in my head its American made lol Plus the lighter weight is a plus imo

Hi-Points are great for learners. They jam often IF YOU DON'T HOLD IT RIGHT. That post earlier about jamming if you don't hold it firmly...well you're supposed to hold it firmly.
Almost any gun will jam if you hold it loosely enough >.>

Back to the subject: The hi-point will teach you to hold your gun right, it will be heavy, you will get crap from other people at the range, but it will make you appreciate the next gun (if you get one) TONS more.

My dad has a hi-point JCP in .40S&W and a C9 (compact 9mm). I have shot them both without a problem.

The S&W Sigma (SW40VE mentioned earlier) is a great gun. About $300 here. I have the sigma in 9mm and love it. It is much more forgiving as far as holding the gun properly, but I will say that the hi-point, with it's barrel connected directly to the frame, is a much more accurate handgun.

....just my $.02

Wait, $200 is way too much for that gun. My dad bought his .40S&W for $120 brand new. Also, hi-points have a lifetime warranty and hi-point will freely fix/replace any malfunctioning gun.

Yep, if you 'limp wrist' a Hi-point, you will see quite a few stove-pipes.

I'm a rifle guy for the most part. 1/4 MOA...or I get rid of that POS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I so like those Ruger SR's though. Had a chance to get my hands on an SR9 awhile back, fit my hand well and I would like to have one. Seam well built. The older P-series Ruger hand guns just don't fit my grip, nice guns nonetheless. Ruger makes alot of nice guns, between my dad and I, we have 5 Ruger 10/22's. He has his class-3 for a suppressed 10/22...its fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And I love my old Ruger Mini14, killed ALOT of deer w/ it.

Had a chance to buy a Kimber Eclipse II Pro 1911 for ~$700 about 2yrs ago, I'm still kicking myself for not getting it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

It was a STEAL at that $. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

As far as Hi-point goes...I would rather have $200 in 9mm or 40cal FMJ ammo for plunking.

EDIT:

$2 bill in my wallet is signed by Tommy Emmanuel. Saw him in concert a few years back...3rd row center, stayed after the show and shot the **** w/ him for about 2hrs. He was cool as hell, he was going to hit the bar w/ me and some buddies for a few beers, but he had a flight to catch in the AM.

My long range, custom comp/training rifle. (Kimber) .308

500yd group. Using 168gr Hornady match, IMR 4065 and Remington brass, it will do this all day long.(Thats about 1.3" )

10/22 with CF ported barrel. It will do 1" @ 100yds with auto match ammo. and it weighs less than a stock 1022!

And of course, a Mini14

And the Suppressed Remington in my ava. Its still "loud" but you wont hear much past 200 yds with it. (300 win mag)

i got suckered into buying my brothers high point and I am affraid to shot the thing cuz it looks like a chitty toy gun and feels like a peice of crap. I miss my Auto Ordance 1911. I plan to buy 2 matching 1911's

pops got a hi-point 40 from a pawn shop for $50. we went to the range and it would catch EVERY 2nd round. contacted hi-point, sent it in and they refurb'd the whole shit for frizzle. aint shot it since then though. hi-point has lifetime warranty.

i almost bought a HP 45 brand new for $189 OTD but they had to run a background check. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Exactly and latest news is that its being retooled to hold 12+1 in 3" rounds as well I'm getting this **** for 2012 when nothing will happen anyway, but it'll be a good excuse to buy it
