hi low comverter

im triying to hook up a sub in my rsx s but i try using a comverter but it dint work i try using the wires from the factory sub to hook it up with the rca but i wont work . will anybody out there can give my an advice on how to hook this up is driving me crazy i really apreciated . thank you
