Can someone help as to what steps should I take to try to retreive money paid online for rims and tires. I paid and sent money to a party advertising on ebay for rims and tires. He emailed me and wanted to sell them out side ebay. I sent the money and have received nothing. I have spoken to the dude three times and he states he is working to much to send out the tires. I asked for my money back to no prevail. It looks like this person has no intentions of sending the rims and tires or giving my money back. Can anyone tell me if there is anyway legal to get my money back. Hard lessoned learned. Is there a way to report online that they are out there ripping people off!

It sounds as though you sent the money by way of mail.....probably by money order or cashiers check??

If so, then you should have his name and address. Call the authorities (police) in the city in which he lives, and tell them he as defrauded you for $XXX, and ask if they can be of assistance.

Also, I think the FBI has a internet fraud protection division. Something to look into.

Also, I can't think of the sight right now, but there is a internet fraud protection site that hopefully someone else can post for you.

Ok thanks for your advice. I do have names and email addresses. do you know what type of info you need to submit to one of those fraud internet protection sites? And if anyone has the link to a fraud protection site please post?
