sorry m a newbie.. my sister has a 1996 toyota corolla.. and i wanna give her a cd player for xmas.. i was wondering how much factory speakers in that car can handle.. in terms of wattage. if i were to buy a cd player that puts out 30 watts per channel.. would the factory speakers be able to handle it? would a system like this require an amplifier? remember im just buying a cd player.. no speakers. id appreciate any help you could give me with this.. or if possible direct me to a web site in which i can find out te specs of hte factory installed speakers in that car. thanks guys. merry christmas.

They should handle it fine. The way manufactures rate the power of headunits you would swear they were on drugs
You would probably get 12w - 15w from that head unit.
