alright, i have both of my amps (PPI 2125 bridged for sub, and PPI 280 for front stage) hooked up. first, I only had the 2125 and it would drive the sub just fine. When I went to hook both of them up, however, the amp for the front stage works great, so my front speakers work perfectly, but the sub amp won't stay on. The power LED comes on for a moment, but then it clicks off every time the bass wants to hit. So I unhooked the front stage amp and hooked the sub amp up alone again, and the sub amp still works.. Someone suggested running a relay to a constant power source for the remote wire, because maybe there wasn't enough power to turn them both on. Well, I did that, and the relay is hooked up how it should be, and it still wouldn't run both amps.. BUT now when I only hook up the sub amp, it's having the same on/off problem as it did when both amps were hooked up. I just got these like last week and they haven't been driven hard really at all so I'm not sure what's going on.. I don't know what I've done wrong and I just want to get it solved as soon as possible.

thanks

ok.. dunno what i did.. but this is what i did.. and it all works now..

first I moved the ground (it was slightly loose) from the trunk to the rear seat mount. That didn't fix it at all.. then I unplugged EVERYTHING from the sub amp and hooked up everything but the RCAs to it.. it powered on. so that was good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif then I hooked up the RCA's and the sub was working! Yay! So next, I went ahead and wired the remote wire FROM the sub amp to the front stage amp.. I had been doing it the other way, maybe that was it, or maybe something was loose.. either way, I don't understand what I did, which kind of irritates me, but at least it works now!

everything sounds great now. In case anyone's wondering, I have CDT CL-61 components in front, CL-6X coaxials in the rear, the two PPI amps mentioned in the first post, all wiring is Knukonceptz (except the remote turn on wire, I got a new one today from a local audio shop) an elemental designs e12k.14 subwoofer in a ported box tuned to 26hz, and a Pioneer DEH-P8400MP head unit.
