Help this Rookie...wire 4 svc's.

Hello everybody...

As you can see, this is my first post.....

I know this is a lame question....but somewhere i seemed to have gotten confused.

I would like to know how I should wire my two 12" and two 10" SVC (4ohm) Zues

Subwoofers to my Rockford 801s 2 channel amp.

The amp is rated at:

2 ohm minimum In stereo

4 ohm minimum bridged

my box looks like: . .

. 12 12 .

. .

. 10 10 .

.................

I would run them in series then parallel to the amp. This will give you a 4 Ohm Bridged load. If you do not understand this I will work on a pic to help. It will not look good but I will get it done fast.

you will be bridging the amp with this set up

**** that is a crappy pic. I will list them as Sub 1, 2, 3, 4. sub 1 and 2 are your 12's and 3 and 4 are your 10's. + from the amp goes to the + on sub 1 and a wire to sub 3. Take a wire run it from the - on sub 1 to the pos on sub 2. Also run a wire from the - on sub 3 to the + on sub 4. Then run a wire from the - on the amp to the - on sub 2 and a wire to the - on sub 4. I hope this helps. I am trying to find a pic to help

I understand it all except one thing.....when you say .....+ from the amp goes to the + on sub 1......... and a wire to sub 3. i dont understand what you mean by "and a wire to sub 3"

Take 2 pieces of wire. twist the ends together and put them in the + terminal on the amp. 1 Piece goes to sub 1+ and the other piece goes to the + on sub 3. Then take 1 piece of wire and run it from the - on sub 1 to the + on sub 2. Take another piece of wire and run it from the - on sub 3 to the + on sub 4. Take 2 more pieces of wire twist them together and connect them to the - terminal on the amp. 1 piece will go to the - terminal on sub 2 and the other will go to the - terminal on sub 4.
