Ok, im new to the car audio world. so yes everybody flame me cuz i know dick. but i has a fairly large trunk, and i want to get 2 subs that will pound. i mean i want to set of car alarms. i have a 96 taurus. and the trunk is big enough for my 3 cube ported box with my 12" HX2. please help me, i just need some direction. SI's or RE's or something else. thx ppl

both will do the job... how much money, and exactly what do u want.. just spl, something loud??? what kind of amp(s) do u have??

some pyramid subs would do pretty well setting off car alarms as well.

Do you want a set of car alarms? Cause usually one will do the trick...

If you want to set off car alarms, just have your friends get really sensitive alarms and blast some 6.5"s or 6x9"s and you'll be fine.

L7's will do the trick, pretty cheap on ebay nowadays, those are straight bass subs with a considerable amount of sq

or you could go a little bit cheaper and go with 2 12" kicker comp vr or if u want even more go to 2 15" kicker comp vr

You can get a Solobaric L5-12" on ebay for like $100. Refurb but not bad. Put that in a big ported box (like 3.25cf), feed it ~600 watts, and it will be loud for cheap.

Remember, your trunk is going to rattle hardcore. I used to have 2 Pioneer 10s in my 99 Sable with about 150w to each. Thats only 300 RMS and the trunk looked like it was going to pop off the car all the time.
