Help Sub wont stop pounding

might want to trace your grounds and ensure you have good grounds. the ground wire should be the same thickness (gauge) or thicker than your power wire. Also make sure you have a good ground at the head unit.

Also, make sure you have decent RCA wires... If your wires are about as thick as a spaghetti noodle, you may want to look into a set that is shielded better.

Those are not likely to be the cause.

As soon as you turn it on it starts pounding away? As if it was playing music? Did it just start this suddenly or did you just install?

Could be a short of some sort where the sub is now seeing AC current.
