HELP!!!Seriously...HELP!!!!

how do you explain this? i got a new cd player from my brother hook it up to my car..radio work find..put on a cd,,track is playing but no sound...put the old cd player back on everything working fine..tried to put the HU back into my brother car to check if it work or not and it work..put back to my car..still no sound from cd but there is sound from radio...what the heck could it be................i reeadlly need help ..i want to put this new HU to work ..so pleaseeee help me.

I had a friend with the same problem. Did you use a wiring harness and follow the instructions? If so, the car you have probably has an amp and it is turned on with one wire on the factory deck, the same wire that tells the antenna to go up.

On an aftermarket radio, there is an antenna wire and a REM wire. You probably have the Antenna wire hooked up to the car. If this is the case, every time you turn on the radio, the HU turns on the antenna and the amp. When you put the CD in, that signal stops, bringing down the antenna and shutting off the amp.

To make a long story short, see if that is what happened. Then hook up the HU's REM wire to the wire that you have the antenna wire hooked to.

Had the same problem when i installed my eclispe into the jeep and that's what fixed it. Works great now!
