help, problem w/ my box

i got into an accident and i thought my box and sub was fine...just installed it in my new car and discovered that the box is cracked. i cant see it but i can feel air coming out...i think im jus gunna screw it down and re-seal(caulk) it..but i was wondering if thatll be enough and also wondering how much the crack will actually affect my sound

For starters your box wont be near as strong as it was, youre better off just building a new box. As for it affecting your sound it will be more quiet, due to the air loss(not necessarily loss, but its not being put to good use in a port, or staying sealed) coming through the crack.
