Well... depends on ur current setup. Usually people want to get louder and end up spending more than if they just bought better subs. What are you running right now? (sub/s, amp/s, box, wheres the box located, car, etc...)

ok... i am running (2) 12" punch hx2...with a power 1001bd amp..in a slot ported box...tuned to 44 hz... it is in my trunk and the subs and port are front faced... and my car is a 1992 buick regal custom..i have memphis wires...and i am running 8 ga for speaker wire and 4 ga for power and 8ga for ground

i have always found my system to be louder when they are faced outwards not toward the cabin but thats just me, i think there is a trick if you turn your a/c on when your getting metered you get higher db's also try sound deadening most of your car, oh and have your car on to so you can get higher volts and if you can rev the car so you can get more amps out of your alt.

Add more subs, best way I know of to hit harder. Of course this would mean a box rebuild, but it would definetly do the trick!

but i need to stay in the 301-600 watt @ 4 ohm class...and adding more subs doesn't always make it louder..
