help needed on a new amp

I have finally got my brother to buy my pionneer tsw305c's off of me because my ed's are almost here. Now, he needs an amp to run them. The specs are 4ohm svc and they can handle 400rms 800peak each and theres 2 of em.

now heres where it gets interesting. We can only purchase an amp from a local audio shop. But the good news is alot of the the major brands have a distributor in my city.( Rockford x4,kicker,jbl,jl,PG,alpine,kenwood)

The one thing that is not optional on the amp is high level inputs. Thats how we are hooking it up.

He says his price range is $200-$250.

I am pushin him towards the jbl any thoughts?

And on a side note, if he decreases the power from what they are currently getting(350rms) will there be a noticable decrease in performance?

You could always get a line output convertor, then you wouldn't need speaker level inputs. But since no one really knows what the prices of various amps are in your area, its hard to recomend certain models. The JBL doesn't sound like it would be a bad choice though.

I am not really conserned about the exact price its more of just a general in the ballpark.
