Sometimes on certain songs with certain bass notes my whole system will just shut off for a second and come back on, i believe its known as cutting out. It seems to do this much more frequently when i have burned cd's in as opposed to purchased cd's. volume has a small affect on the frequency of this but sometiems even at very low volumes it cuts out... what is wrong? what do i need to buy or replace?

Basically what i dont understand is the inconsistency of it. I assume if i need a new alternator that it would be doing that constantly at high volumes. If im using cd's i buy in the store it does this hardly ever, but still sometimes. If i use cd's that i burn it seems to do this much more frequently. What happens is all my sound seems to disappear for a second then come back on... like skipping, only more annoying. i was looking for a remedy for this...capacitor, battery, alternator, wires?

i am using 8 gauge wire btw

I would drop to4 gauge wire first because its the cheapest and easiest thing to try,if this doesnt help then I would buy a different brand of burnable cds.

kenwood 115s.... it cuts out sometimes with regular cd's too but it doesnt pick up radio frequencies well enough to even hit hard when listening to the radio
