Just registered, wanted to say hello to everyone, im a finance major at texas state (in texas.... ; ) ) and i also am into car audio. i work for a shop called audio outlet. i do all the normal installation stuff like wiring, alarms etc but i have been dabbling in custom fab lateley and entered my first car show.

thanks. What percentage of the members on this board are installers and how many do you guestimate are hobbiest. (is that a word...hobbiest)

How about hobbiest-installer?

 

I opened my own place about 7 years ago. It was broke into 3 times. After the 3rd time, I couldn't afford to keep things going with rises in insurance and stock. So I went back to slavery work while doing installs and sales out of the garage on the side. About 6 months ago we moved and instead of me finding another slave job, the ole lady is making enough for me to attemp another place. Only I'm doing it slow. Making boxes and installs to those who contact me. My biggest thing has been TV steering wheels, producing them. Coming up with diferent fiberglassed products.

But I enjoy fiberglassing and such just havent been able to do it in a while. I don't have much experience with it but I surely enjoy it....
