Pimpin' Jeep ... :P
My buddy has got a 95 jeep grand cherokee. The deck gets sooooo @#$@# hott he cant even touch it. It plays fine for a lil while, but then gets really hot and the speakers stop working but the subs stay on. any help for him??? thanks

Three things comes to mind right away. Seen this happen alot around the shop.

1. Speaker going bad. Check them with a DMM.

2. Speaker shorted to ground. (lead touching door panel, bare wire touching metal, etc.)

3. Head unit going bad. (unlikely. If its going bad, chances are one of the above caused it.)

Check those three and the HU ground, and get back w/ us man.
