head unit and speakers for 500$

i have about 1600$ from graduation but i wanna spend about 500$(a little over is ok) on speakers and a head unit. im lookin for a cd/mp3 player head unit and speakers that will get loud enough to play with my 15" XXX being fed 1500watts...i love bass but i gotta have mids and higs to come with the bass

any ideas/help would be real tight

btw i own a 1997 dodge ram 1500 sport extended cab with the infinity system

Id get a nice Pioneer 7600mp. for around 300$. And get some good pioneer door speakers. I own a 6500 pioneer headunit and 6.5 4-ways. It looks and sounds awesome.

honestly i was thinkin about an alpine cd/mp3 head unit and some CDT speakers...or maybe some other speakers but i was pretty set on an alpine
