having a problem with my left diamond m6 sub

heres the problem, when i play any song at any volume, there is a clipping sound but im not sure if it is or not, its like a EeeEeeeeEeee sound thing, what should i do? re-wire it to a different ohm? use a different wire? if i continue to play music would i eventually blow my subs or fry my amp?
