good compact digital camera

I want a good digital camera that is smaller then the camera I have now so that I can take it with me when I'm with friends to take pictures. I have a nice Kodak camera now with 4 mp, 10x optical zoom all the little goodies, so something with a higher mp, doesnt have to have a good zoom. My friend has a canon powershot s400 I'm thinking about getting something like that on ebay.
