In response to an earlier reply, Norton Internet Security 2008 is much less of a resource hog than its predecessors. I have been running it since it came out, and have noticed a lot less lag and loss of resources.

I am also a fan of Kaspersky and AVG. All 3 are great apps.

While Norton 2008 is easily the best Norton in the last 5 years, it's still ... not good ...
The vast majority of the computers that come into my shop are either running Norton or an expired anti-virus. Not a good sign.

AVG didn't do shit for me.

I had so many viruses on my computer with that it wasn't even funny.

I went out and bought Kaspersky and I swear up and down by that thing. Best 50 bucks spent on my computer.
