More proof of just how crappy & undeserving the Nuggets are. During the regular season, the Nuggets are +3 net rating per 100 possessions, so they were one 3 pointer away from a tie (per 100 possessions. Miami was -.5. This is what happens when leagues just keep expanding and expanding the number of teams that make the playoffs - eventually you end up with a like Miami that struggled to get above .500 in the playoffs. Then they catch some breaks, play above their true ability and end up in the finals.

It used to be called a Cinderella story and celebrated when a team over performs and maybe catches a few breaks. Denver deserves to be there. They took advantage of their breaks.

No doubt, the Nuggets beat everybody they faced, but that doesn't mean they're a deserving Champion. We can differentiate between the quality of Championship teams. The 85 Chicago Bears were a great Champion, the 2006 Steelers are a so-so champion. They get the Bengals in the first round, catch a break against the Colts in the 2nd round. The Broncos do them a favor and take out Brady and Patriots, so it's Steelers vs Broncos for the AFC championship and the Broncos no-showed. Seattle was no juggernaut and really anybody the NFC play-off teams would have lost to top 3-4 AFC teams.

They aren’t the greatest champion in history, that’s for sure. Lol.
