Getting back into shape - TIPS?

Drink water. Drop beverages with high amounts of sugar completely. Soda is the worst for you.
drink only water. It not only cleans out your system, but has no calories or nothing in it, and is great for you.

Shit I lost a lot of weight (20 pounds) by just drinking water alone, and cutting out the soda's as juices and energy drinks.

Eat at least 5 times a day (a couple times it can be something small.. like a protein bar)

Drink shit loads of water

Gym (weights and cardio)

That is all. Enjoy the first day of the rest of your life.... or something like that.

Wow, thanks for all the help guys.

I was really into working out from October 2006 - April 2007. My boss at the time got me in to it, he was a personal trainer part time. At that time I just wanted to gain weight, I was pretty skinny. He got me into a really brutal work out plan, I was at the gym atleast 6 days a week, and I lived off Creatine and Whey Protein. I was taking in about 120-160 grams of protein a day, and eating every hour. I ended up gaining 35 lbs in that 7 month period. I got really strong and gained quite a bit of size, but I also gained alot of fat too. When I stopped, I was at 187 lbs (5'9" tall).

Right now I'm about 170 and look good, I lost alot of fat but kept the muscle I gained from all that working out. I'd like to improve upon how I look now, meaning I'd like to have a 6-pack once again.

Thanks again for the tips guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

stretch out before AND AFTER any weight lifting or vigorous exercising...cuts recovery time and also helps you to avoid the next day soreness
Very good point. I'm just coming off of a groin pull. I stretch alot more now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What works for one, might not always work for someone else, lol! I still get sore and I lift 1 hour a day 7 days a week and I stretch before and after. Not as bad as when I first started, but still there. Been doing for quite sometime now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Actually I kinda did shit my pants.
Holy shit, I was just reading this thread taking it in and read your post, expecting something informative, and I just busted out into tears laughing! lol

I can't stop thinking about the ridiculous look that you probably had on your face //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It wasn't solid.. but twas a little wet.

Which brings me to my next point. Fast food is the devil. Stay far away from it. All of it. Even that grilled chicken sandwich they say is good for you is loaded with sodium.
