Painted the inside of my black Corsair 5000D case white yesterday. Ran a white led strip on the top and down the front side near the glass. Now I can see things much better through the tinted glass. Led on and off pics. Got some reflections in there

I've got a new big case sitting here along with a new 950 watt Seasonic Full Modular Power Supply all ready for my next build next year hopefully. Also got lucky bought mom a huge 240mm liquid cooling supply from cooler master and it wouldn't work on her case or board. So it cost me 55 bucks instead of the 110,lol. So got that sitting here as well nib, along with kryonaut which is what I use besides one other one. Also got a 10 pack of deep purple fans as well. Will pick up a couple hard drives later this year when on sale as I need one for my PS5 as well for the extra storage.

MSI mystic lighting is such a PITA. Download MSI center, Dragon center, and all the BS that also has to be downloaded and I get nothing as far as RGB control. About to say fuck it and buy all Notcua or Cougar Vortex fans.

Other than that the new PC has been great. Might order a non tinted glass side for it.

Edit: Okay got the mystic lighting to work. I had to uninstall all MSI apps and download MSI Center and then mystic lighting app. Now I need to play with fan curves to get it quieter while idle. I think that should be easier than having to go into Bios every time right?

I'm still running this Obsidian 750D Full Tower. Almost time for a new build.

My 12th Gen i5 build has been the most frustrating build i have ever done.

So, im basically on my 3rd motherboard.

First board was a Gigabyte Auros Elite (which is an insanely recommended board). At first, it would just turn on, then shut right off. I took out a stick of RAM and moved it around to some other slots and it would finally power on, and id get the stupid RGB, but never got a post. Flashed the bios, still nothing.

Popped out the RAM, CPU, and Video card and transferred it into a buddies MSI pro board and all those components were working, so i wrapped up the motherboard and sent it back.

ASUS Prime Z690 boards were on sale for cheap, so i picked one up considering i have always had best luck with ASUS boards in the past. After it was all put together, it would boot and post, but no video. Moved the GPU into slot #2 and all works well. So after days of fudging with it, i concluded the GPU slot 1 (which is the only x16 slot on that model board) was bad, packaged it up, and sent it back to where i got it.

So, today, i just got my 3rd motherboard in. It's an MSI Edge and should be complete overkill for my uses. But anyway, im going grab me some dinner then sit down and throw this all together and if it dont work this time..... it may be the first computer i take a sledgehammer to

we shall see

I've switched to nothing but MSI boards the past few years. Never had one fail on it's own. Only had one fail and that was because of it being 12+ years old and one of the capacitors I found was leaking but the board still worked.

And pop...BOOO BOOO Xbone! lol PS5!! I've had a day one edition of every Playstation to come out. Never had one of those fail either on me.

But at least now some games are cross platform enabled so Xbox and PS people can play some games together.

Can't wait till I get home from work tonight. My new wireless network card will be here!! I am running the ASUS USB-AC68 wireless adapter currently but we just switched to a WiFi 6 internet router so I am not at optimal speeds. I have a TP-Link AX3000 Archer TX3000e PCIe WiFi 6 card with Bluetooth 5.0 coming in today. Should open up things nicely.

Got a new white Fractal Meshify 2 Compact case. Using my Corsair 5000D for a living room TV PC it won't be anything special.

Got the TP-Link WiFi adapter installed and setup. Where she was cutting out before on 5Ghz she is stable and fast.

Probably a stupid question but can I take my Samsung 970 evo from my old computer and simply put it into my new computers second m.2 drive? Or does it have to be reformatted? It did not have windows on it. Just games. I just don't see the point in it sitting in my old computer that I will never use again.

If it is a storage drive there should be no issues. You may have to point your game stuff to that drive though. Not hard.

Yeah It was a storage drive in my old PC and will just be for extra storage if I ever fill my 970 evo in my current PC.
