I just got the distribution block that I'll be using for my sub amp. It's this one http://www.knukonceptz.com/mobile-a...4-gauge-high-current-fuse-distribution-block/ I'll be running one 1/0 cable in and one 1/0 out to the amp. The amp I bought is the SoundQubed S1-1250. The distribution block allows me to run 2 fuses on each output. So, my question is, do I want two fuses that EACH roughly equal the draw of the amp? Or, do I want the TOTAL of the TWO fuses to roughly equal to the draw of the amp? I have 120a fuses, 80a fuses, and 40a fuses available. Which ones should I run?

So, I found the answer to the first part of the question and now know that I need for each fuse to be half of the amperage rating. But, I can't find the current draw for the amp anywhere. Is there a general "rule of thumb"? I'm thinking maybe I'll try it out with a pair of 40a fuses. I also have a similar 100a fuse and could go that route too.

two 40a fuses won't be enough. You want something like 120a-150a. 200a would be fine too

OK. I'll start with the two 80s. Thanks.
You can start small if you want, just make sure you look at the voltage drop across the fuses. Basically one probe on ground and then one probe on either side of the fuse when it's under load from the amp. Two 40a fuses, even though they can handle 60a under dynamic load, will only handle around 1500w. Your amp isn't 100% efficient so you need overhead

Don't know why you'd want to use two fuses when one will do the job.
120A - you're set.
Honestly, I don't know either. I thought maybe it'd better, but I guess they just make it like that for people that are using much bigger amps than me. I just realized that I have some 120a fuses too. So, I'm just gonna run one of those and call it a day.

It would be cheaper, it might be easier to find a place to mount it, and you would have a ton of options if you just do two, 3 slot fuse holders...

My bad, yes, I read them each as having two 4ohm coils. The JBL diagram left a bit to be desired, IMO. ;) And a double yes, thought U was talking...

I plan on getting the fuse to run as a front sub/midbass in my kick panels...I've heard they sound good but you definitely wont get mirror shaking...
