i use it everyday.. my guess is your just playing a single pattern instead of a whole track. right next to the PLAY button theres two little squares, one with the word PATTERN next to it, and the other with the word SONG next to it.. when u have PATTERN checked, what you are doing is focusing the program on a single pattern.. so if u press play its going to play the pattern youre looking at, over and over. if you've made numerous patterns and you want o lay it out in time you go to the playlist and enter in the corresponding pattern into the playlist.. its simple just mess with it. after you have patterns laid out and you want to hear how they sound together youre going to check the box that says SONG next to the play button.. and then press PLAY. itll play for as long as the patterns you've entered. that's just an intro.. mess around with it and tell me what else you want to do and ill try to break it down to you.. you can also ask BROCK, another member on this board, that is very experienced with the program and can make some pretty dope beats. have fun and good luc

i downloaded the demo, i guess i need to just mess with it, on average how long would it take to make a decent beat?

i want to make a cool one, but there are too many options and stuff you can change, how can you make sick bass lines in it? can i input tones and play with them?

for sub bass use the 3x OSC. turn the second and third oscillators off (VOL down) and turn the CRS on the first all the way to the left. when you play in the piano roll play an octave lower than the default. layer your tones with a kick drum and youve got your booming bassline....for starters.
