Can someone please explain to me what frequencies do what? I know that lower frequencies have more base and higher ones are for high pitch, but I'm confused when I see the bands on my EQ on my Alpine Headunit (CDA 9813).
It lets me adjust 1.2K 10K 36.4K 40K 50K 120K 200K 400K 500K and then it has 3 Octaves in each band. Keep in mind some of those numbers are a bit off cause I'm going off of memory.
My question is what do each of these do? What do I adjust if I want to emphasize vocals? Drums? Snares? Vocals? What do I turn down or up to increase/enhance bass? And what exactly do those 3 octave things do?
Is there a certain way to set these or is it all personal preference? Right now I'm just playing it by ear (literally).
I know it's a lot of questions, but some guidance would help.
