Well guys I have wanted a dog, a pitbull no less for about 5 years. I never decided to go finally get one because i always found an excuse not to. Not any more, this past Sunday morning i was walking out to my tahoe and saw something move under it. After bending over and seeing what it was i saw white and black face hiding under my car. It turned out to be Axle, who i was finally able to get out from under my car after tempting him with treats. I did some basic checks on the dog, teeth, eyes, skin, ears and tested to see if he was aggressive towards humans. Everything looked fine so i drug him inside and gave him a bath. After an hour seeing that this dog was one of the calmest and nicest dogs id ever met i decided to take him to the vet and have him checked. He had no chip no collar no tags so i decided id get him his shots and have a blood test run for heartworms and such. Vet gave him a clean bill of health and blood tests came back negative! Hes my new buddy and hes slowly learning commands and how to walk on a leash etc.
The resilience of these dogs is amazing, you can tell he was abused as he was very skiddish and timid for the first 24 hours but is now warming up beautifully and will not leave my side! I am so thankful to have found him and i think hes pretty happy he found me too! Heres a couple pictures of my little guy. Vet said he was a pitbull black lab mix and he has been a treat so far. Im not sure who is luckier, me or Axle (name comes from him hiding under the rear axle of my tahoe.)
Clifs:
Found a dog hiding under my tahoe.
Pitbull black lab mix, 1 year old.
Took him in and took him to the vet.
No tags, collar, nor neutered
Clean bill of health, no chip.
I am his new owner and am thrilled.
Few pictures of the guy after his vet visit and bath!
