Ok I've heard that the rockford fosgate HE2 can hit hard spl wise but how good are they with sq. By this i mean is there a lot or very little distortion. I listen to rap and want a PAIR of subs that hit hard but have very very little distortion.

If I get the HE2 I'm going to power them with a Rockford Fosgate Punch Power 1000.2. That's 500w per sub.

If you do not recommend these what do you recommend for me?

the he2's are pretty good subs, thats what i have and i'm more than happy with my decision to get these. the spl on them is great, and the sq isnt that bad either. there are better sq subs, but its very hard to find a sub with its spl and sq in the same price range. if you're willing to spend a few extra bucks, then get the w3, although the spl isnt as good as the he2's, the sq is better. some guy i kno has 2 w0's, but i dont think he'd be willing to put up his subs against mines, so steer clear of those (in my opinion of course). alpine has a good sub in the type r, and so does infinity in the perfects. although the peak power of these subs are higher than the he2, the rms of the he2 is greater than the rms of the others, but a 50 watt differential is very hard to hear, so u make ur own decision.
