where should i install this? this thing is bigger than i expected and i need to know where i should hook it up to? i have a 2000 civic coupe.

I sat in a demo car at a local shop that had the bass knob installed under the dash so that it was visible but yet in a discreet location. That's where I would install it. I would use some screw mounting anchors in the dash material underneath where the holes can't be seen. Theives can't see it too easily under there either.
