This reminds me, I'd like to look into a shotgun for home protection, what would you all recommend and from where?

Played with a 44 Mag I think it was with about a 6 inch barrel the other night on the range. Now talk about drawing a crowd: Everybody stopped shooting to watch me. I think the BOOOM was the overwhelming attention-getter but they were also probably amazed I can still easily put everything center mass with it at 15 yards unlike most jokers who point it in the general downrange direction and just make noise for 2 hours straight without hitting anything.

Ideally I'd have something big and intimidating looking that makes big boom at home and something a little smaller like a sig to carry. I too would love a shotgun but I've handled one about twice in the last 5 years so I have to get comfortable again before Id even think of buying. A real big revolver would be fine to me for home defencse. Easier to maneuver with than a shotgun but still looks intimidating and can knock a mofo on his AZZ. Got a sig 226 I carry to and from work but... just aint the same as somethin with a 'Dirty Harry' kind of attitude to it.

f**k guns. i want those tazers the cops have that shoot out the darts that stick into people. if someone ever gives the the chance to use self defense and smoke the mofo, that cool but not and fun as sticking them with darts and electrocuting there a** and watching them shake and scream uncontrolably
