fiberglass question

Ok i have a 96 GMC Safari, And i want to make custom speaker holders in the back part of the door. But how you make kick panels everything is on the ground i want to make them in the ceiling so i can set the stageing better. My question is are there any tricks doing glass' upside down? i have made a jr. dragster body out of glass' just never been faced with glassing upside down. Any tips please let me know.

I'm confused....are you trying to do them on the ceiling of the car, or on the doors?? Ceiling, not sure why you would, but if the doors, take out the panels.

tape off the area and just do one layer of glass, dry and pull her out to layer it up, you could use like a hair dryer or heat lamp so it drys faster, and doesn't start to sag or fall off

Mask everything completely in the rear of the vehicle just to be on the safe side. And you might also want to look into epoxy resin. It can be thickened and you can use either fast or slow cure catalyst. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

does the epoxy work like resin? never used epoxy before. i have a cargo van so it has no interior i making a full custom interior so i really dont have much to mask off but thanks all for the info i may try epoxy.

epoxy is a resin, it's just a different kind than polyester. Unlike polyester resin you can't change the set time by adding more catalyst. They sell slow cure and fast cure catalyst, or you can mix the two to get you where you need.
