Fiberglass or Fiberglass & MDF

I'm getting two Alpine SWR-1221D's....i'm building my own box so if i'm gonna do the work i wanna get the most out of it....i've seen all sorts of boxes and what i've been lookin at lately is MDF and fiberglass boxes....do they make any difference?.......please help....another question i have is why people put dynamat in their boxes....is it for temperature?

Built properly you should hear no difference between a mdf and a fiberglass enclosure. Fiberglass conforms to curves where as mdf doesn't. As for the dynamat that's a highly debated subject. u could build the basic box out of mdf and then fiberglass the curves and stuff for the subs right?
