Ive been looking to add some video..Just alittle something nothing too special and managed to pick up an audiobahn 7" headrest screen at work for $100. Nothing special but for $100 I figured why not. Anyways I drive an f150 so I dont have many mounting options at all for this thing but my idea was to set it up on the dash right behind the "line" where the part w/ the vents pops off to install the headunit facing a bit towards the drivers side. But heres where I come to you guys for opinions.

I plan to build a rectangle out of mdf to go around the screen to "hold it" and then inside the rectangle put little blocks to stop the screen from pushing all the way in (if thats a bit unclear ill draw some pics). If I do this I also have the option of slipping the screen in and out in just a few seconds. Although here is the question what do you guys think will looks best. Building the rectangle, cover the back up, slap some filler on it smooth it etc and mold it do the dash to where it looks like a rectangle sticking straight up out of the dash (1st pic below). Or should mold the dash farther back and wrap it in fleece/glass the whole molded part/rectangle to where it looks like its actually part of the dash (2nd pic). Or if anyone has some more options let me know.

It didnt seem like it would be that big ontop of the dash until it was put up there and WOW way tooo big. Any more suggestions? Reloacting the radio would do but I dont really have a place for it.
