i found a factory rebuilt phoenix gold ti400.2 on thezeb.com for 50 bux cheaper than the new one. do you guys think that factory rebuilt one would be as good as new one? better?

Usually I do not have a problem with Factory Reconditioned amps or electronics because they've fixed the problem and made sure it was working again before it was sent out. Sure it could break again, but so could your brand new one.

All of the amps I have bought did not have any cosmetic defects on them. Some amps do, some don't but most of the times if it is a severe cosmetic defect they usually fix that.
