Engine Whine?

CAR: 2002 Blazer

HU:pioneer DEH7400...

AMP: Cheapo Pyramid PB 480

1 10" sub: Cheapo AMerican Pro

Backround: Amp is only powering the 1 10" sub. RCA's are ran along one side of car, power wire is ran along opposite side. Amp ground wire is 1' long mounted under back seat directly to bare metal.

Problem: While car is running i get a whining noise from the 6 stock speakers in the car only while radio is playing. When a CD is playing, no noise, everything is perfect. When i shut the car off, no noise during CD and Radio Play.

WHAT I'VE TRIED: Replaced RCA cables, same problem. Replaced antena adapter, same problem. Relocated amp ground several times, same problem.

NOTE: I had this same exact system in my 95 Z28 without a problem ever.

.

Does anyone have ideas?

Well I would do this. Make a new ground for you HU. If that does ot fix it you may look into a new antena. It sounds like you are picking up eng noise through the antena. It almost sounds like the antena is grounded out. I know there is not power going through it.

Well, yesterday i ripped the dash apart and checked all connections again. I insulated the metal on the antenna adapter just in case if i was picking up interference through there, but still no luck.

does anyone have anthing else????
