Hey

Alright i just got my 69 Caprice with a 327ci. other then headers and exhaust (which im ordering) whats some other cheap horsepower? i am going to get a K&N filter. but this isnt enough. I need something dramastic but not to expensive becuase im on a budget.

Cheap horsepower....supercharger/blower combo! Not exactly cheap though...

GO for the 4 barrels, lighten the flywheel, and get racing spec camshafts

This will not add more horsepower, but it will better use the horsepower you have. Get a new ring and pinion, something like 3.73 or 3.55. That will cost about $200 if you put it in yourself, or something like $400 to get it "professionally" installed. Like I said, this will not add horsepower, but it will better use the horsepower you have.

it won't help u use the HP better, it will just make ur car accelerate, or even just burn out better... only use higher gear ratios if you want to lose gas mileage, run ur engine harder, and the only benefiet that i can see, is lower ur 1/4 mile times... but you will lose some driveability, If ur car is just for racing, then go for 4.11's or something, but if not, then just stick w/ the same ratios that ur car came w/ factory.

Lighten the Flywheel, get another camshaft, and maybe higher compression pistons. That will bump both engine response, and HP.. best mods for a V-8 in my mind, (other than the Headers-Exhaust-Filter)

go and get a set of lightened pulleys. by lightening all those pulleys u will beable to add horsepower and it should wuicken ur throttle response.

id say go with cam and aluminum intake and pullies.
