Enclosure type for ES620's?

Currently I have my CDT es620's in custom kickpanels in my M3, but I am taking them out and putting them in my daily driver.

Now my question is, now that I am starting fresh with this new setup, would you reccomend IB or another sealed enclosure with these? And do people like these tweeters on of off-axis? The tweeters seem more finiky than my NX30 tweets.

I don't suggest sealed for those. Your previous setup was sealed? I have a pair of es620's in custom kicks, but the top of the enclosure wasn't sealed, allowing the speakers to play IB. Not sure aboot the tweeters, mine are off-axis and sound great, but I also have "ambient" tweeters pointed on-axis toward the winshield.

Awesome speakers though, a nice relaxed sound.

CDT tweeters are better when mounted on-axis. Off-axis mounting loose too much details to an already laid back set.

Thanks for the replies. I figured they needed to be on-axis with the way they are sounding in these kicks I have.
