On Sundowns website they have enclosure specs listed for ported boxes on the SA 8 v3 and SA classic 10 0.65cf for the 8 and 1.0cf for the 10. I notice a number of people run larger boxes for these and I understand that’s okay to do My question is: How do these subs sound in the recommended sized enclosures? The box sizes are a bit small which I imagine helps with power handling, but is there any low end extension lost compared to a larger cabinet or do they sound good with the recommended tuning and port area? Also, are the GP audio tru spec boxes any good? They are obviously built to these exact recommended specs per their website. I think it would be a nice budget setup as I really do not want to build a box but these look like they’re of pretty good quality.
