Eclpise Time Alignment?

I am not bi-amping my comps, so the settings for my Eclipse CD8053 go hi: front comps, mid: rear doors, low: sub. This all refers to "pro mode" as the easy mode does not let me fade the rear speakers down and take advantage of its time alignment settings at the same time.

First question: if my tweets are in the middle of the A pillar, and the woofers are in the lower doors, am I robbing myself by not bi-amping and taking advantage of the time alignment settings to correct for phase differences between the tweets and woofers?

Second question: the manual makes no mention of the subwoofer in the time alignment section even though it can be adjusted. It says to use the farthest speaker, the passenger side rear speaker, as the default 0 ms delay, then delay the other three speakers accordingly to make their sound arrive at the same time. Shouldn't the sub (it's in the back) be considered the farthest speaker? Does low bass enter into this equation?
