double bridge

Not sure exactly what you mean by "double bridging". But I'm going to go ahead and say no, unless you mean running more than one driver off a bridged amp. Than that would depend on the amp.

well there is this kid at my school that has a mtx 400.2 amp with a kicker 12 l7 and he has his amp double bridged and its freakin loud.

Your friends amp is just bridged not double bridged. But tell him thanks for me I needed a good chuckle.
Precisely.

He may have a DUAL VOICE COIL subwoofer... then wired it in series... and thinks that means "bridging" the subwoofer... but that is INCORRECT terminology.

Tell him he's an r-tard... and doesn't know what he's talking about.

It'd probably look like Metatron from Dogma with his pants down...
